Sailing with large cruise ships is another way to get to this country and discover how wonderful it is as numerous cruise companies offer travels to Costa Rica in their itineraries.
You can disembark in two of their main ports:
- Puerto Caldera: located in the district of Caldera of Esparza county, in the province of Puntarenas. It is the largest and the most important of Costa Rica in the Pacific Ocean. The city of Puntarenas is 28 km away from this harbour and 26 km away from Orotina.
- Puerto Limón: shares the name with the city and the province, Limón, located in the Caribbean Sea.
In much the same way as you can visit Costa Rica following the itinerary planned by the cruise, many of the companies provide the opportunity to stay in the country for an extended period of time and thus enjoy your trip for longer.
