The Playa Matapalo is located in the tip of the Osa Peninsula, in the Osa Canton of the Puntarenas province.
This sublime beach of crystalline waters has numerous hostels, bungalows and small cabins environmentally friendly: they are equipped with solar panels, which makes your stay as much sustainable and ecological as possible. Besides, the Matapalo Beach has received the Bandera Azul Ecológica (Blue Ecological Flag) certification for its dedication to conservation and preservation of the surrounding environment.
One of the attractions of this charming unspoilt beach is the Rey Luis waterfall, which is approximately 100 m high and where activities like tree climbing and rappel are very popular. Complete your experience in this astonishing place with water sports such as snorkeling, quiet horse rides along the coastline, hiking, longboarding and surfing, being the latter the most popular here thanks to the good slopes of this beach, having three excellent tipping points which make the wonders of the most passionate surfers.
