Pacuare-Matina Forest Preserve is a wonderful place in Costa Rica, located between Pacuare and Matina river mouths and near to Madre de Dios estuary which crosses Tortuguero canals and its 3.12 miles beaches.
This impressive and wonderful place is one of the magical areas of the Caribbean sea which belongs to the Province of Limón. Both rivers create a beautiful view through its descent from the hill while crossing a luxuriant primary forest full of big trees that makes it a reason enough to not lose the chance of discovering this amazing Central American country.
This is one the wettest areas in the country so it is advisable to visit this place in October, March or April, during the dry season.
The best option to visit this area is to descend through Pacuare River practising rafting or canopy, while you are surrounded by an unspoilt greenery and crystal-clear waters, that will turn this experience into an unforgettable and unique moment.
