Camaronal Wildlife Refuge, in Guanacaste, is the setting for one of the world’s most impressive and beautiful natural phenomena: the nesting process of lots of marine turtles. The park shelters 4 of the 7 most important species of marine turtles (black sea turtles, carey turtles, Atlantic leatherback turtles, and ridley sea turtles). All of them nest in Playa Camaronal Beach. These turtle species are endangered species and very interesting objects of study for scientists.
Playa Camaronal Beach stands out due to the quality of its crystalline water, which has strong undercurrents that create impressive waves very appreciated by surf lovers. This beach is surrounded by a wild and thick vegetation formed by lots of wild species. Another interesting area is the estuary of the Ora River, which is inhabited by lots of marine species and birds.
Camaronal Wildlife Refuge is located at a privileged location, and inside its borders there are some small paradises, for example, Playa Islita Beach and Playa Carrillo Beach, where it is also possible to spend some days in the available hotels there. These beaches are incredibly beautiful natural environments of fine sand and crystalline water.
Undoubtedly, Camaronal Wildlife Refuge is one of the must-visit places that you should not miss, since its rich and beautiful natural setting is worthwhile visiting.
