Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve is, clearly, one of the most impressive scenic beauties in Costa Rica. This unique reserve has a wide variety of wild species, as howler monkeys or anteaters, amongst many others. In addition, it has a vast forest with many different vegetal species, being the damp the most common one.

Isla Cabo Blanco Island and Playa Cabo Blanco Beach are found in this reserve. Cabo Blanco Beach is a little piece of paradise whose shelter is this great reserve. There, you can enjoy the clarity of its waters and its fine white sand. Besides, you can also practice a lot of water activities, such as snorkeling and diving.
One of the most prominent attractions in this reserve are its paths, where you can know by first hand the wonders of Costa Rican nature. To go all over it, you can choose between two paths, the Danish path or the Swedish one, which ends in Cabo Blanco Beach. But remember that, to walk over both ways, we recommend you to wear comfortable shoes and clothes. Cabo Blanco Island is also famous for its guano, that is, a material created by birds’ defecation.
