Parque Marino del Pacífico is located in Puntarenas city, in Costa Rica, 500 m from the Cruise ship pier, at the end of the well-known Tourists’ Promenade, 75 min from San José.
This park, founded in 2002, is the only marine theme park in Costa Rica. It has fifty marine and coastal animal species and constitutes a socio-environmental project of sustainable development, supporting and spreading the investigation, education and sustainable use of marine biodiversity.
One of the biggest attractions of this recreation park is its aquarium, which has an exhibit hall with animals from the Costa Rican waters, as clownfishes, damsels, sea-horses, cat-sharks, crocodiles, marine turtles and many other animals that will show you the beauties hidden in the sea and the shore of this country.
Besides, you can enjoy learning in this marvelous marine park thanks to the touch tank, which offers a unique experience, since you are brought into contact with sea animals, amongst many other activities.

Per day for nationals and residents:
¢2,900,00 for visitors older than 12 years old.
¢1,600,00 for children from 4 to 11 years old*.
¢1,300,00 for organized student groups up to 25 years old with prior booking.
¢700,00 for disable people and people older than 60 years old (disability certificate required).
* Children under 4 years old have free entrance.
Per day for foreign tourists:
$10 for visitors older than 12 years old.
$5 for children from 4 to 11 years and foreigners with disabilities.
Facilities: picnic zones, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and a paddling pool available Friday through Sunday and water games. On Saturday and Sunday, a touch tank is displayed.
