Playa Santa Teresa is one of the loveliest and most beautiful places in the Nicoya Peninsula. This little but sublime beach holds a perfect area to surf because the warmth of the currents that bathe its shores are perfect for its practice. Nowadays, Santa Teresa Beach has become a landmark for the most experienced surfers. And, apart from surfing, there are many other activities to practice in this beach, such as pilates and yoga, amongst many more.

In addition, in this beach you can find a wide variety of hotels, restaurants and bars where to escape some days from the urban stress and taste delicious dishes and cocktails.
Clearly, Santa Teresa Beach is an experience that you cannot miss in your visit to Puntarenas. Remember that the majority of the Costa Rican name the entire area where it is found “playa Mal País” (‘Mal País Beach’), although it is located next to Carmen and Santa Teresa beaches.
