Alajuela’s Culture Center (Centro Alajuense de la Cultura), located just in front of Central Park’s west side, is a two-storey building with a garden in the middle and a pink-painted facade. In the past, this building housed Alajuela’s Palace City Hall; from there, it is being appointed as a relic of great historical and architectural value.
Nowadays, the managing organisations offer cultural festivals and events, live music concerts, talks, painting exhibitions and drama, dance, storytelling, craftwork, handicraft and music workshops.
