The Children's Museum is located inside Costa Rica’s Science and Culture Centre, in San José. There, you can discover three emblematic buildings at the same time: the National Auditorium, the National Gallery and the Children's Museum, a space dedicated to family enjoyment of science and culture. The Children's Museum is one of the most visited museums of the city.
This building is one of the most historical ones of San José, because it was a prison in the early nineties until it was renovated in order to create one of the funniest exhibitions, where you can enjoy the more than 3000 square metres and a wide range of activities together with your family.
The museum houses a great diversity of exhibitions like the Human Being Room and the Physical Sciences or Sciences of the Universe Rooms, where you can enjoy with your children in a pleasant and entertaining way.
The Children's Museum offers services and activities such as guided tours, a cafeteria, and dynamic events, like children's parties or educational workshops.
