The Museo Rafael Ángel Calderón Historical Museum houses the representation of one of the most magnificent periods of the Costa Rican society, when Dr. Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia, president of the Republic from 1940 to 1944, carried out great social transformations.
The work of Dr. Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia Historical Museum portrays Calderón’s doctrine and his influences on the society. You can also find temporary exhibitions in the museum with some of the works of Costa Rican young artists.
The museum is located at a century-old building recognised as a national monument, which is already an attraction in itself. There is an auditorium and a library among its facilities.
The museum also has guided tours, with which you can get to know the different areas of the museum.
